About Us
ICICI Foundation continuously strives to empower people inclusively through multiple interventions. The project “Economic Empowerment of Languishing Craft Artisans of Mata Ni Pachedi”, a traditional art form of the DeviPujak community in Gujarat in partnership with EDII aims to revive the dying art form and preserve the cultural legacy whilst empowering the artisans with sustainable livelihood opportunities. It is wonderful to be able to merge heritage with sustainable livelihood and positively transform the lives of the local community.
Our Mission & Vision
ICICI Foundation, the CSR arm of the ICICI group, revolves around the core pillars of Environment & Ecology, Healthcare, Sustainable Livelihood, Social Initiatives, and Financial Literacy. Through the multiple interventions, they have positively touched the lives of around 12.8 billion people across the country. With the thought that no one is undeserving, ICICI Foundation continuously keeps undertaking need-based initiatives in Pan-India to facilitate inclusive growth for all, with a sustainable approach.
Trainings & Workshops
EDII, as the knowledge partner has implemented several initiatives to support and develop artisan community:
- Entrepreneurship Development Programs: Trained 90 artisans to enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
- Artisan Card: Issued to 80 artisans for their identification and benefits.
- Financial Linkages: Facilitated for 51 artisans to access credit through various government schemes.
- Market Linkages: Established for 85 artisans to expand their market reach.
- MSME Registration: Assisted 80 artisans in registering under Udyam Aadhar & GeM Portal.
- Co-operative Society: Formed Shri Chitara Mata Ni Pachhedi Hastkala Utpadak Sahkari Mandli Ltd with 55 artisans.
- Skill Development Training: Conducted domain-based skill training for 28 artisans to diversify and develop new products.
